DISK MAGAZINES
So named because they would often come on a complete floppy disk, disk magazines or diskmags date into the 1980s and would consist of programs and data designed to present a "magazine"-like format for their readers. The use of a viewer would allow the addition of music, graphics, and interfaces far beyond a simple pile of text.
